JOBE Lunar Funtube 3P – towable for three

The JOBE Lunar is an inflatable towable for up to three riders, pulled behind a motorboat or jet ski. Its two tow points let you choose the direction of tow, giving different riding positions and behaviour. Lying, sitting or kneeling – the wide shape offers room to switch and suits both children (supervised) and adults.

Construction and materials

The 28 gauge PVC bladder sits in an 840 denier nylon cover with double-stitched seams – the combination used on premium towables: the PVC holds the air while the tough nylon keeps the shape and resists wear from sand, jetties and gunwales. Ten handles have neoprene knuckle guards, plus two full-neoprene handles. A neoprene deck pad adds comfort and prevents chafing. JOBE gives a 3-year warranty.

Inflating and connecting

The one-way Boston valve inflates quickly and does not lose air when the outer cap is removed; unscrew the whole valve to deflate. The quick connector clips the tow rope on and off in seconds.

• Use a tow rope rated for 3-person towables.
• Inflate firmly: a soft tube folds at speed and wears faster.
