Hedel's beautiful harbour is located directly behind the community centre Gelre's End, amidst a breathtaking green recreational area. Moreover, the centre of Hedel, with all its shops, is within walking distance.
At the marina, you will find the 'Stuurhuis', our clubhouse where the toilets, washrooms and showers can be found. Here both members and passers-by can meet, have a cup of coffee or enjoy a refreshing drink with a beautiful view of the majestic Maas river.
The striking height of the "Steering House" is due to the widely varying water levels of the Meuse. It has already withstood three extreme water levels without ever being submerged.
Our club is bustling with activity, with both members and passers-by fully enjoying water sports. Moreover, the excellent facilities in the vicinity of Hedel and its proximity to the cosy city of 's-Hertogenbosch provide an attractive base for adventurous outings.
In early 2023, we installed a stable WiFi network throughout the marina, accessible to harbour masters, members and guests. For the password, please contact the harbour master. This project was carried out by JP Networks.
From 1 January 2021, use of WSV 't Stik's slipway has been restricted due to inconvenience caused by unrestricted access, both for members and harbour master and for boats leaving and returning. However, there is still a limited option for slipway use, whereby one becomes a regular user on payment of an annual fee, with no membership required.
This means:
- An introductory meeting will take place.
- You will be given a key to the access gate on payment of a deposit of €50.00, allowing you to use the ramp at any time.
- You can apply for this via the application form on the website, which requires you to include a photo of your boat and a copy of your insurance policy.
From the first week of August 2018, extensive renovation work was carried out on the jetties in the harbour, which sometimes caused some inconvenience. If everything goes according to plan, you will be able to make full use of our renovated marina again from 29 September.
As if a red carpet of asphalt had been rolled out, the entrance has already been considerably improved by dredging work. Moreover, the entrance towards the Steering House has now been put in order.
At the members' meeting on 4 April 2014, the proposal to approve the dredging contract was approved, and Paans van Oort carried out this work. During this work, ships could temporarily divert to a berth in Ammerzoden, a fantastic solution. "We should help each other," was their spontaneous response to our request for help. A few satisfied members organised a small, playful opening ceremony for the harbour, during which chairman Van Raaij and harbour commissioner Peek had to cut a ribbon.
In 1978, some enthusiastic Hedelnaren decided to set up a water sports association, with the main aim of creating moorings for Hedel residents. Although the final establishment of the association did not take place until 1979, it took many years of consultations with the municipality, other bodies and financiers before the harbour was completed. In early 1986, the first boats could take their place in the completely newly excavated and equipped marina.
The original 40 berths soon proved to meet demand, and it was decided to expand capacity to around 60 berths.
HAVENMEESTER The harbourmaster is usually present and at your service for information, payments and assistance (phone: 06 46578874).
ELECTRICITY On all jetties you will find connections for electricity (220 volts, 4 amps). Make sure the cables you use are in good condition.
WATER Drinking water is available on the jetties. In hot weather, we recommend flushing the tap thoroughly before filling up with water. Please empty the hose after use.
SANITARY Showers and toilets can be found in the Steering House (the clubhouse at the top of the stairs).
WASTE Along the access path there is a container for household waste (packed in bin bags only). Please note that it is strictly forbidden to deposit oil and/or chemical waste in the container or leave it unattended in the harbour. Violation will be reported.
SECURITY The marina is closed with a gate. You will be given a code by the harbourmaster to access the premises. Always close the gate when leaving the marina.
ATTENTION! Swimming and fishing are not allowed in the marina.
First aid For minor accidents, a first aid kit is available, to be found in the clubhouse. There is also an AED device available at the Jeu de Boules Hatalle.
BIKE You can borrow a bicycle free of charge; please make arrangements with the harbour mme
