Welcome to the Port of Zaltbommel on the busy River Waal
Zaltbommel has a rich water history. In the past, the port played an important role in the transhipment of sand and gravel. Moreover, numerous beautiful ships were launched from the shipyard with longitudinal slipway between 1882 and 1992.
The harbour in Zaltbommel, located in the province of Gelderland, offers an ideal location for sailors and yacht owners looking for a safe and quiet mooring for a short or longer stay. Here you are in the middle of the historic fortified town with all necessary facilities, shops and restaurants within easy reach. In addition, the surroundings offer numerous places of interest and there are wonderful cycling routes to explore.
Special facilities have been built for commercial shipping and large passenger ships. Since 2020, ships up to 110 metres long and 2500 tonnes can moor at 9 new mooring posts. Welcome to the port of Zaltbommel. Here are some practical things that may come in handy:

Harbour regulations The harbour regulations are available in the information cabinet on the jetty and on the website.
Wireless Internet Throughout the marina, you can use WiFi free of charge (SSID: "De Golfbreker"). The password is available from the harbourmaster.
Rubbish and Waste Materials Garbage can be deposited in the container by the footbridge on the west side of the harbour. Please follow the instructions to separate waste responsibly. Bottles can be deposited in the bottle bank at Albert Hein on the Havendijk (west side of the harbour). Grease/oil or other chemical waste must be disposed of yourself and may not be deposited in the waste container.
Sanitary facilities A unit with a toilet and shower is available on the jetty, as well as a cistern for chemical toilets. Showering is free of charge.

When approaching our port, especially from the river Waal, please take extra care due to the current on the river. Follow the indicated course and pay attention to commercial shipping in both directions.
Access to the Rafts Access to the rafts is exclusively for members, their guests and passers-by. Vessels moored are not allowed to turn their propellers. Port users should report any damage to the rafts to the harbour master.
Wintering with your Ship in Zaltbommel For ships with a length of 15 to about 30 metres, we offer some winter moorings in historic Zaltbommel. You can stay on board your ship.
