The Standard Horizon HX210E handheld VHF: compact, floating, IPX7 waterproof, easy to use and reliable, with 3-year waterproof warranty. Read more.
The HX210E is the entry model in Standard Horizon's handheld VHF range. Use it on board to communicate with other vessels, lock and bridge keepers and traffic centres. Suitable for inland and coastal leisure boating: the ATIS code is user-programmable and the channel set complies with the latest VDES channel plan (including channel 31 for leisure craft in the Netherlands).
At 280 g including antenna and belt clip the HX210E floats if it goes overboard. The housing is IPX7 waterproof (1 m for 30 minutes). If the radio lands in the water a strobe light activates automatically, even when switched off; the light can be set to continuous, flashing or SOS so you find the radio in the dark. Standard Horizon gives a 3-year warranty including waterproofing.
The large backlit dot-matrix LCD is easy to read in low light and the menu is simple. Up to 10 preset channels can be stored. The compact 1850 mAh lithium-ion battery charges on 12 V (via the supplied cigarette plug) and on 230 V. There is a connection for an optional external speaker and a built-in FM receiver (76-108 MHz).
Supplied: HX210E, SRA-19B antenna, SBH-25 charging cradle, SAD-25 AC adapter, E-DC-19 DC cable with cigarette plug, CLIP-22 belt clip and hand strap.
