Talamex Premium boat cover for RIBs

This Premium cover from Talamex is cut specifically for RIBs (inflatable boats with a rigid hull). It protects the boat in storage and in the davits against UV, dirt, rain and scratches. Thanks to the tailored fit the cover hugs the tubes and transom of a RIB, so less wind gets underneath than with a universal tarpaulin.

Practical openings and fastening

The front has a Velcro opening so you can reach the lifting eyes and attach davit cables or lines while the cover stays on – handy when the RIB hangs in davits as a tender. The rear opening leaves room for the outboard and gives access to the reinforced transom lifting eyes. The cover is secured with the elastic cord in the hem, three adjustable straps with buckles and extra D-rings for additional lashing points.

Material

Made of 600D solution-dyed polyester: the fibre itself is coloured, so the fabric keeps its colour far better in sunlight. The cloth is water-repellent, mildew-resistant and has a soft inner lining that protects the tubes.

Tips

• Measure the length of your RIB; the cover sizes already allow for the fabric that falls over the edge.
• Only cover a clean, dry boat to avoid moisture and mildew.
• Re-proof the cover periodically to keep it water-repellent.
• Tighten the straps so the cover cannot flap and chafe in the wind.
